MC4 connectors refer to single-contact connectors generally employed in connecting photovoltaic panels. MC4 stands for the Multi-Contact and a 4 mm2 contact assembly pin. The MC4 connector features a flexible watertight seal and available as 'male' and 'female' type to rule out the chances for wrong connections.
